Over the last several weeks, there have been buzzed about a new sports team coming to Frisco TX. Well, the news was made official on Tuesday August 13 morning. There was press conference this morning at the site of where the new indoor Cowboys Training Facility will be built. The new indoor facility will be located on the northwest corner of Warren Parkway and the North Dallas Tollway.
The new facility has been said to bringing a major benefit to the city of Frisco. The facility is not only going to be a tourist attraction but also for the benefit of the Frisco ISD. The Frisco ISD will have the priority of using this 12,000 seat stadium for Thursday and Friday night during high school football season. Using this facility saves the ISD from having to spend to money to built another facility.
The $115 million dollars, 91 acres project will have a significant economic impact to our city. An economic impact analysis of the this project done by Insight Research Corp. estimated over the next 30 years will be $23.4 billion with tax revenue over that same period is estimated to be $1.26 billion and more than 4,500 jobs will be added by 2026 once the site is fully developed.
Together with this facility there will also be building in tandem the Frisco Station which is a mixed-use development expected to have 4.5 million square feet of office space along with retail buildings, apartments, a hotel and restaurants on about 250 acres.
It is such as exciting phase for the City of Frisco.
