Home Depot Kids Workshop

This is a free workshop for kids age 5 to 12 years of age. The hands-on workshop is held every first Saturday of the month at all Home Depot store. My son and I enjoyed going to the workshop. Each week, the workshop features different projects. So far we have done a couple of workshops, a planter, a fuss ball box, a pen organizer, a periscope, and a Home Depot race car.

At the end of the workshop, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home

Depot associates’ aprons, and an achievement pin. The pin shows what workshop the child has completed. Besides being a fun  event for the child , they get to learn do-it-yourself skills, tool safety, following  instructions and help to instill a sense of accomplishment.

The next Kids Workshop will on May 7th. The project will be building a Tulip Planter for mom. This will be a great Mother’s Day gift. To find the nearest Home Depot near Frisco TX  click here.
