Frisco TX Watering Restriction

by Mike Yeo on July 28, 2011

With the hot weather here in Frisco TX, we are all asked to conserve energy and also water consumption.  The City of Frisco developed a Water Efficiency Plan to help reduce the annual waste of water. This year the Summer Watering Restriction is in effect. The Watering Restriction starts from July 1st through the end of September.

The restriction does not mean you cannot water your yard but it limits the day and the time of when you can. For outdoor watering, it is limited to 2 assigned days per week. You may water on your trash day plus one additional assigned day.

The outdoor watering time using sprinkler systems is NOT ALLOW between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. and between 10 a.m and 6 p.m.

Additional Watering Day in Addition to Your Trash Day

Trash Day Additional Day
Monday Thursday
Tuesday Saturday
Wednesday Saturday
Thursday Sunday
Friday Tuesday

Hand watering  landscape with a shut-off nozzle, soaker hose and drip/bubbler  system is permitted at any time, on any day. Home car-washing is permitted at anytime with the use of a shut-off spray nozzle.

Registered and properly operating smart controllers may irrigate without watering day restrictions, but not more than once every five days. Check the Smart Controller Program for more information.

Watering during the restricted hours is considered water waste and may result in a water waste violation.
