Frisco TX – The Friendliest Texas City

Frisco was recently named sixth Friendliest City in America according to Nextdoor.com and Forbes in a survey recently conducted.

Frisco is also the only Texas city that made this list.

Over 1,000 towns with population between 5,500 and 150,000 made the short list. From there, this top 25 were ranked using these following criteria:

  • Percentage of homeownership (US Census Bureau)
  • Crime Data (City-Data.com)
  • Percentage of College Graduates (US Census Bureau)
  • Charitable giving sources (Philanthropy.com)

From there, Nextdoor.com took the top 50 towns and ranked them according to community-centric activities.

  2. Orinda, CA (High homeownership rate, Low crime rate)
  3. Fishers, IN (Low crime rate, High homeownership rate)

  5. Westerville, OH (High charitable giving, High neighborhood engagement)
  6. Frisco, TX (High homeownership rate, High neighborhood engagement)
  7. Alpharetta, GA (High charitable giving, High neighborhood engagement)
  8. Downers Grove, IL (High homeownership rate, Low crime rate)
  9. Huntington Woods, MI (High homeownership rate, Low crime rate)
  10. Tooele, UT (High charitable giving, High homeownership rate)
  11. Hamilton, NY (Low crime rate, High college graduate rate)
  12. Herndon, VA (High charitable giving, High neighborhood engagement)
