Residents and businesses of Frisco TX prepares to host the NCAA Division I Football Championship Game in the first week of January 2012.

NCAA Division I Football Championship 2012 Game Ticket Information

This year, the NCAA Division I Football Championship 2012 is a sold-out game between Sam Houston State and North Dakota State at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco TX at 12:00 pm on January 7th 2012. This is the first sold-out game since 2007. Frisco TX expects over 20,000 to attend this big game. Each school are allotted 4,000 tickets. Should there be any unsold tickets, standing room tickets will be available for sale starting January 3rd 2012, at the NCAA FCS Playoff Ticket website. The standing room tickets are for spectators to stand in the concourse of Pizza Hut Park.

The Pizza Hut Park hosted previous game between Delaware and Eastern Washington in 2011. Frisco TX will host its 3rd consecutive game through 2013.

NCAA Division I Football Championship is not to be confused with what most college football fans know College Football as – Bowl Championship Series Championship (also known as BCS Division I-A) such as Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Tostitos Bowl.

Tailgate Town is a free event for all. Frisco TX residents can bring their friends, families and children to attend the festivities before kick-off. There will be food and beverages for purchase, live music band, team band performances, youth clinics, autograph sessions, football interactive games, a mechanic bull, children’s inflatable’s & bounce houses, face painting and souvenir sales.

Tailgate events are encouraged prior to kickoff. However, it should be conducted in a respectful manner as in not to disrupt other attendees. Propane tanks are allowed but not charcoal, lighter fluids or open flame grills. Guests should also drink responsibly and when determined intoxicated and disturbing, the City of Frisco police or Management may ask guests to leave, or could be subjected to other consequences.

Tailgate Town Event Schedule:

9:00 – 10:00 am – Youth clinic & autograph sessions by FCS and NFL stars
9:30 – 10:00 am – Team arrival
10:15 – 11:00 am – Pep Rally includes marching bands, cheerleaders and mascots
11:00 – 11:45 am – Music performance by local Frisco TX School of Rock

11:50 am – Pregame begins with team introductions, military flyover and National Anthem
12:05 pm – Game kickoff

Hotel Information: Where to Stay in Frisco TX?

There are many hotels to select from, all located within the City of Frisco. Frisco TX is not that large, so anywhere you stay, even just outskirts of Frisco (in Plano, Allen or McKinney), your driving distance to Pizza Hut Park should not take long.

Comfort Suites at Frisco Square, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, A-Loft Frisco, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Embassy Suites Hotel, Westin Stonebriar & Sheraton Stonebriar.

Comfort Suites at Frisco Square is the closest hotel to Pizza Hut Park.

Gameday Parking Information

Pizza Hut Park parking lot opens at 9:00am on Gameday. $10 on first-come, first-serve basis.

For RV Campers, vehicles are available in the Green Parking lot. The RV and Camper parking may purchase up to 4 “regular” lots. There are no RV hook-ups, electrical or plumbing available at the Pizza Hut Parking lot. Absolutely no dumping of gray or black water on Pizza Hut Park grounds.
