Frisco Fire Safety Town

There are lots do in Frisco that are free for the entire family. Frisco Fire Safety town is one of them. Hosted at the Frisco Fire Department, this event teaches children about safety in a fun and interactive environment. Frisco Fire Safety Town is a Community Education program featuring classes that focus on a number of safety topics, teaching students how to be safe. This programs operate year-round and are free of charge. Frisco Fire Safety Town started in January 2007 and has more than 100,000 visitors since then.

Frisco Fire Safety Town features educational facility which includes classrooms, an interactive fire engine, and a safety house with a realistic living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom for children to explore and learn about home hazards, severe weather, fire safety and more.
The Frisco Fire Safety Town also has an outdoor town which resembles a miniature Frisco complete with real buildings, created at a5/8th scale, that represent Frisco area businesses. The outdoor town consist of home and business buildings,paved and marked streets complete with working traffic signals, a railroad crossing and a toll both.
There are hands-on activities wherever possible.  For example, during classes about the importance of seat belts, students drive battery-operated jeeps throughout theoutdoor streets of Safety Town. They also ride bicycles following classroom lessons about wearing helmets while skating or cycling.

Frisco Fire Safety Town is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Every Friday night is Family night. Bring the family and visit Frisco Fire Safety town. Interact with the fireman, ask questions, check out their gears and walk around the miniature town of Frisco.
