Frisco Residential Recycling to help the environment

by Mike Yeo on November 4, 2010

We all recycle plastics, paper and glass bottles but  we normally don’t know what to do with one off items that you may not have to deal with on a frequent basis. If you do your own oil change on your car, you should know what to do with the old oil and oil filter. What about those old used cooking oil after you deep fried a turkey or have a fish fry party? Do not put them in the trash can or pour them in the sewer system.

Do not throw in the trash if the item has the following lables:

  • Combustible
  • Danger
  • Toxic
  • Corrosive
  • Reactive
  • Poison
  • Flammable
  • Explosive
  • Warning
  • If you are wondering how to dispose of your household chemical such as old paint, pool chemicals, used cooking oil, antifreeze and others, look no further. The City of Frisco helps to make it easy to dispose of household chemicals and engine oil. You can take the items down to the city recycling center.

You may want to bring you utility bills as proof of residency. REMEMBER TO DO YOUR PART AND KEEP OUR CITY CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL!
