Parade Route: East on Main Street from FC Dallas Soccer Stadium through North County Road
Ths year’s Frisco Community Parade will be held at the FC Dallas Soccer stadium this Saturday, November 10th 2012 to commensurate Veteran’s Day. The Frisco Community Parade used to be the Homecoming celebration back when Frisco only had one high school (Frisco High School) not too long ago.
Bring your family and join other residents as we come together as a community at the Frisco Community Parade. It starts at 11:00 am with parade of school marching bands, floats, football teams & cheerleaders, civic organizations, youth sports associations, Frisco-based professional sports teams, non-profit and local businesses. The Frisco Community Parade showcases the community spirit and diversity in Frisco’s residents, schools and businesses. The Frisco Police, Fire Department, Military men & women are also a part of this event.
The Frisco Community Parade starts at 11:00 am at the FC Dallas Soccer Stadium head east and walks through the Frisco Downtown area until the North County Road where Double Dip is located. Please check for road closures around the Frisco Downtown and Main Street areas.
This year’s winning float entries will have Frisco Education Foundation scholarships donated in their names. Frisco Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides financial resources to maximize student potential in the Frisco Independent School District through educational programs, student scholarships, and grants for innovative educators.
Grand Prize: $1,000 scholarship
1st Runner-up: $750 scholarship
Honorable Mention: $500 scholarship
The Frisco TX Community Parade Committee is chaired by Mayor Maso.
Frisco Community Parade Road Closures
In conjunction with the Frisco Community Parade, watch for several road closures near the event. Main Street will be closed from World Cup Way until Dogwood Lane from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm. Frisco Street will also be closed from Technology Drive to Main Street. Traffic will not be able to travel through areas of Downtown Frisco on Main Street during those hours.
If you plan to watch the Frisco Community Parade, parking is limited to areas north and south of Main Street.
