With this years hot weather through out the summer, water conservation has been high on the radar for all TX cities. City of Frisco implemented their summer watering day schedule from July 1st through the end of September. The city does more than implementing the watering schedule.
The City of Frisco also encourage home owners to conserve water by using water efficient shower head. The city is giving out free water efficient shower head when you bring in your current shower head. The shower head is easy to install and could reduce indoor water usage by 40%.
In order for a shower head to be considered as water efficient, the shower head must use less that 2.0 gallons per minute. The city has 2 shower heads available – a white shower head that uses 1.5 gallons per minute and a chrome/silver that uses 1.75 gallon per minute.
To get a free shower head, make sure you bring your current shower head and also bring your Frisco water bill. The city will provide one shower head per household.
You can collect the free shower head at the Public Works Facility located at 11300 Research Road from Mondays to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
