July 30 – The Black Stallion


Folks, it’s that time of the year again. The weather is nice, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming beautifully and the free movie nights are back again. For the past 3 years, Movies in the Square have been a great success in bring out families to watch free movies on the Simpson Plazza in Frisco Square, Frisco TX.

Every Friday night in June and July (except for July 2nd), families are invited to come out to the Simpson Plazza in Frisco Square to enjoy a movie under the stars. Bring your lawn chair or blankets, pop corn and sodas and enjoy a good ol’e movie with the kiddos under the stars.

The movie is played on a giant 26′ x 13′ inflatable movie screen. Admission is absolutely free. The pre-show entertainment begins at 8:30 pm. The event is also sponsored by local businesses.

This year Movies in the Square will start on June 4th. Here are the movie line ups for the summer:

June 4 – Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: The most delicious event since macaroni met cheese. Inspired by the beloved children’s book, the film focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain. more info».

June 11 – Surf’s Up: A behind-the-scenes look at the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship, and its newest participant, up-and-comer Cody Maverick. more info»

June 18 – SpongeBob SquarePants: SpongeBob SquarePants takes leave from the town of Bikini Bottom in order to track down King Neptune’s stolen crown. more info»

June 25 – Grease: Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. But when they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance? more info»

July 9 – All Dogs Go To Heaven: A dog returns from the dead looking for revenge on his killer using an orphan girl who can talk to animals. more info»

July 16 – Where the Wild Things Are: An adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world — a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler. more info»

July 23 – Neverending Story: A troubled boy dives into a wonderous fantasy world through the pages of a mysterious book. more info»

July 30 – The Black Stallion: While traveling with his father, young Alec becomes fascinated by a mysterious Arabian stallion. more info»
