This Saturday October 30th 2010, Frisco TX gets ready to host the 11th Annual Gary Burns Frisco Fun Run at Frisco Square starting 8:00 am at Frisco Square.

The serious runners will run a 5K run but then, there is a 1-mile walk/run for the leisure runners and walkers. There will be entertainment for everyone – adults and kids. The Frisco Fire Clowns plan to be there to greet attendees.

Gary Burns Frisco Fun Run usually attracts over 4,000 attendees. The Gary Burns Fun Run is named after Frisco Fire Assistant Chief Gary Burns who gave his lifetime of excellent commitment & service to Frisco’s community, hence

you see the Gary Burns Fun Run logo in fire flames and a fireman’s hat. Gary Burns passed away in September 1999.

The Gary Burns Frisco Fun Run benefits the Frisco Education Foundation – a non-profit agency to provide financial resources to maximize students’ potential in Frisco ISD through educational scholarships for high school seniors.

The Dateline to register for the event is closed but you can still plan to come out to join the fun. Registration begins at 7:00 am. The 1-Mile Walk/ Run begins promptly at 8:00 am and the 5K run at 8:30 am.

If you are interested in running, you can plan to join the Frosty 5K Run and Merry Mile on December 11th 2010. 3:16 team REALTY is sponsoring a team of runners for the event. Registration for Frosty 5K and Merry Mile ends December 8th 2010.
